Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from Clarkson University to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.

Students in this course will work on small scale analysis of specific healthcare project in a hospital, medical practice, health insurance plan, private company serving healthcare sector. Typical projects would involve improving efficiency of some organizational practice, marketing a product or service, developing recommendations for assisting healthcare workforce, or organizational response to public health issues and trends. Students would research and assess the problem, research best practices or generate new ideas, and make recommendations.

A project will be completed by a team of 4 students. 10 weeks, beginning April 1, 2022.

Project Examples

Students in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.

Project activities that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:

  • Research best practices in Covid-related support for frontline hospital workers by Employee Health Department.
  • ED patient workflow analysis and recommendations.
  • Transitions of Care improvement between hospital and primary care providers
  • Analysis of health literacy screening process in clinic service low income patients.
  • Improve marketing outreach for an underutilized urgent care center owned by a community hospital.
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

A representative of the company will be available to answer questions from students in a timely manner for the duration of the project.
