Upper Edge Property Management has more Google reviews than it's competitors and has always had at least a 4.0 or higher rating.
Recently, due to a temporary lapse in service levels, coupled with some vindictive past residents upset with security deposit refunds, we have slipped to a 3.9 and are only one or two 5 star reviews away from reaching that coveted 4.0 goal. Despite our best efforts and also faced with a lack of time, the 3.9 rating is now affecting our ability to attract new clients.
The primary focus for the student will be:
- Evaluate our current customer base and determine what makes someone happy enough to give a 5 star review
- Make recommendations as to the best deliverables to keep our customers in that "happiness" zone
- Develop and implement a brand awareness and marketing strategy to gain more 5 star Google Reviews
Our goal at the end of this experience is:
- For the student(s) to help us improve our brand's presence and capture greater market share.
- For the student(s) to help us gain a better understanding of our target market and ensure we are optimally positioned and our product and pricing aligns with our target sector/customer.
- For the student(s) to help us improve our online reputation by receiving more 5 star Google Reviews.
Students will work closely with the primary project manager who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern(s) using these communication tools: Zoom, email, Discord chat

We are a property management company located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We specialize in the management of single family homes, condominiums and small multi-residential apartment blocks for out of town investors. We find and screen residents, collect the rent, provide all of the repairs and maintenance and give our clients peace of mind.
We are a medium sized company with 25 employees and are currently the largest property management company in our asset class in our city. We have a great reputation for servicing our clients using a combination of fast communication and empathy, creating the level of trust necessary to have a successful relationship with our residents, investors and vendors.
