The main goal of this project is to do market research for Cloud migration amongst SMBs. We are looking to grow to the next level by better understanding small and mid-size businesses, fundamental problems and key players so that we can increase the number of contracts and revenue through the awareness and educational programmes.

To consider: which industries and companies is fit for cloud adoption? What is the main problem this market and potential clients are facing? What are the pros and cons of expanding our services to this market? What potential competitors exist and how do we differ? What legal protocol will need to be considered? How can we connect with this target market successfully?

Our specific need is an outline of our industry’s expansion opportunities through a comprehensive market analysis of the target market.

Target market:

1. Small and Mid-sized businesses in Canada
2. Retail businesses

This should include the following:

• market picture: who are the key players within the organizations, how do they get funded or what is the distribution of the internal budget, and who would best align with our services
• main market pain point and desires (gaps to fill for employee and organization success), so we can then understand how we can best sell them our value
• list of potential clients developed from the market research which would match our service offering, as organized by the most significant potential for growth, profit, impact and return

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship and supervision throughout the project.

Students will receive a thorough explanation of our service to assist them in fully understanding our work. Optionally, they will be able to attend our workshops if they choose to deepen their understanding of our work.
