Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Our organization is very small and it is difficult to ensure that we have a great onboarding and training experience. We would like to set something up to introduce employees to their roles, and show them all of our resources.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Examine the current onboarding process for new hires to identify what should be included in the onboarding process including forms, documentation and information.
  • Establish a logical structure and order for the onboarding process, divided into “segments” or “modules” and their content.
  • Research platforms or websites to automate the onboarding process.
  • Create a segment specifically introducing new employees to our workplace culture and values.
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

  • Examined the current onboarding process to identify content that should be included.
  • Established a structure for onboarding content .
  • Researched platforms to automate the onboarding process.
  • Created a report with a proposed structure for onboarding.

Bonus steps would include:

  • Created a segment that introduces employees to our workplace culture and values.

Final deliverables should include

  • A report including all research, content, and recommendations..
  • A 30-minute presentation detailing and explaining the contents of the report.
