Are you a data-savvy student with a keen interest in the Canadian innovation ecosystem? Are you passionate about uncovering insights and creating impactful visualizations? Join us as a Data Analyst Intern and delve into the dynamic world of business accelerators and incubators!


The goal of this project is to build a better understanding of what programs business accelerators and incubators (BAIs) have implemented to support entrepreneurs in Canada. BAIs are organizations which develop growing innovative companies or entrepreneurs to become more successful. You will help extract and analyze data to develop a visual dashboard to display your findings.

Deliverables

You will work with our team to:

  • Analyze programs offered by Canadian business accelerators and incubators.
  • Conduct thorough research by exploring web pages and extracting relevant data about the programs.
  • Evaluate program data for accuracy and relevance.
  • Assess program specifics based on sector focus and level of accountability.
  • Develop a comprehensive dashboard highlighting key insights about the programs across the province.
  • Collaborate with our team to integrate new visualizations into existing dashboards.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance data analysis processes and visualization techniques.


Mentorship

Working closely with the project contact who is available to provide context and any clarification on questions, as well as occasional project progress meetings. Access to Tableau and other data visualization software.
