Gain valuable experience helping productize an enterprise software API working directly with Immersion Analytics CTO Aaron Moffatt.
Immersion Analytics' patented technology and products make it possible to see up to 18 dimensions of data as a single, intuitive visualization. This is accomplished using special effects as added axes, intensity of each effect is varied at each data point to convey additional dimensions. Our Stepwise Storyboarding capability permits adding dimensions one at a time as you tell the data story.
Objective of this project is to assist our CTO with getting a new API customer-ready.
Students will receive a personal-use license for Immersion Analytics Visualizer, which can be used in concert with Python, MATLAB, Qlik Sense, and even CSV data files.
Students should be prepared to:
- Gain familiarity with both our existing (documented) API and new (undocumented) API.
- Migrate Python and/or MATLAB code samples to the new API, advising CTO of issues found
- Help documenting the new API at a high level in Google Docs and at low level in C# source code comments (using a doc generator such as Doxygen)
- Additional tasks will be scoped based on interests & skills of each student
This project involves working closely with Immersion Analytics CTO Aaron Moffatt, an excellent mentor.
Intern will also have interaction with & mentorship by company CEO Bob Levy.
