GUARDIAN App is designed to assist drivers during police traffic interactions. We use real-time video recording and chat function with the driver during the traffic interaction, allowing the driver to understand their rights and how to safely conduct themselves during a traffic stop. The recording is stored for the driver for legal purposes.

We would like students to focus on:

• Design and build the hardware for real-time video/audio recording from multiple cameras in a driver's vehicle.
• Write the necessary code to support the hardware for it to interface with the mobile app and upload the videos to the servers.

The final deliverables should take the form of a final report and presentation including:

• The reasoning behind the technologies chosen.
• Documentation around design models and audio/video recording functionality.
• A brief wireframe or mock-up of the resulting system’s user interface and how it connects in the vehicle to the mobile app.
• The product roadmap used to create the system and implementation plan including a list of user stories detailing all possible interactions with the system.
• The source code for hardware, and third-party interface for video recording, storage and playback.

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship throughout the project.

We will provide a full understanding of the concept and what the end product should look like.

Additionally, we will coordinate between the hardware engineers and the software developers working on the mobile app.

Students will connect with the employer weekly for progress updates, the employer will be available daily to assist in any capacity and answer any questions.

Students working on this project will be bound by an Non Compete Non Disclosure Agreement.
