property managementWe are looking for a student to assist us in finding, interviewing and selecting new contractors for our property management company.
The goal is for the student to deliver a list of interviewed and prescreened contractors, along with their thoughts and analysis on each of the candidates.
The scope of this project will entail:
- Meeting with the Maintenance Manager to gain insight on the types of contractors needed and where to find them
- Creating a spreadsheet of potential candidates
- Contacting each candidate to ask them a series of supplied pre-screening questions
- Conferring with the Maintenance Manager to determine which contractors should get a final interview
- Supply analysis and recommendations to the Maintenance Manager to assist Upper Edge in choosing contractors that are responsible and provide high quality work
Students will work directly with our Maintenance Manager. An initial Zoom meeting will be scheduled to summarize the goals of the project. Training will be provided as well as direction, followup and guidance.

We are a property management company located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We specialize in the management of single family homes, condominiums and small multi-residential apartment blocks for out of town investors. We find and screen residents, collect the rent, provide all of the repairs and maintenance and give our clients peace of mind.
We are a medium sized company with 25 employees and are currently the largest property management company in our asset class in our city. We have a great reputation for servicing our clients using a combination of fast communication and empathy, creating the level of trust necessary to have a successful relationship with our residents, investors and vendors.
