Details

We would like a student to research online non-published private grant opportunities/email inquiries, and assist with grant writing when we fit their criteria. We require student to research angel investors and product placement for film projects. We will also provide student with guidelines to a public grant to assist with our upcoming grant application. By the end of the project, student will be expected to produce detailed research lists which includes non-published private grant funders, angel investors, product placement companies, and their personnel.

Deliverables

To accomplish this, we expect the student will have an understanding and experience in grant writing, as well:

· Be computer and internet research savy.

· Send emails and letters to potential funders.

· Be creative, ability to think outside the box.

· Be organized, detailing information on a Word document.

· Bring an understanding, or be willing to learn, embeded marketing strategies.

Student will look for suppliers and companies wishing to place their products in film/media productions. Suppliers of food, beverage, and clothing products: Also franchises and Canadian locations that are looking for media exposure. Student will research private grant funders who may be looking for media partners to give exposure to their 'mandates'.

Mentorship

Assignment: Project Manager will supply information on an upcoming public grant and request student write initial grant application draft.

We will supply a short list of product placement companies and angel investors for students to research, but expect Student to take initiative and discover other private funders.

Per zoom call, we will discuss and ‘brain storm’ with student, ideas where to research and look for non-traditional private grants.

Project Manager and partner will be available for regularly scheduled Q+A zoom (or phone) mentorship calls to answer students questions regarding the 5 steps of screen media production, and film industry business affairs.

Student is expected to work about 10 - 15 hours a week to complete project in 7-8 weeks. Project research and email correspondence between student/funder to be formatted into a word document and delivered by end of project.
