Financial Risk Analysis
As a growing company, we are interested in understanding the state of the market we are in, and our organization’s level of risk. In this project, students will assess our company’s risk by building a financial risk model to determine our best course of action. Students will perform a sensitivity analysis to help us eliminate some of the uncertainties we face and determine the reliability of risk estimates. This may involve: Using mathematical and statistical tools to analyze private and public data. Evaluating metrics associated with the risk level of our company such as volatility, correlations for returns, forward/futures contracts, cash flows, variance, and economic states. Building a financial risk model including sensitivity analysis to determine the reliability of the model’s findings. Creating a report to present the results and recommendations from various forms of analysis to be presented to the project manager.
Accessibility Testing
Our company advertises thousands of products online. The main problem we are trying to solve is to garner more user feedback on our interface’s accessibility. We would like to collaborate with students to conduct accessibility tests on our website with pre-identified customers. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Conducting background research on disabilities and methods of evaluating accessibility. Reaching out to customers and scheduling interviews. Familiarizing themselves with the test tasks that should be administered. Conducting accessibility tests remotely and following up with customers to thank them for their participation. Analyzing and reporting the metrics / results of the tests. Researching Search Engine Optimization requirements for us to rank on the first page of Google. Constructing a content calendar to upload social media content for the maximum possible traffic . Creating social media content using the most efficient keywords for our target audience while following the content calendar. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Using our company’s social media analytics to tailor the content calendar to our customers activity, rather than general trends
Analyzing Sales Trends
We believe we have a good handle on our customer but we are lacking some knowledge into the acquisition of our customers. It is important for us to go back to the data we have on our sales process to determine key trends and patterns that will help us make informed decisions for the future of our business. Some areas that we hope to analyze include, but are not limited to, sales cycle length, average sale price, average ROI/customer, buying behaviours, etc.
Business Development Goal: Streamlining Operational Processes for Efficiency and Adaptability
At Vultra Visions, we recognize the critical importance of optimizing our product development and operational processes to maximize efficiency and adaptability. Our goal is to simplify these processes, making them more "lean" to reduce costs and enhance responsiveness to customer feedback. To achieve this, we are launching a comprehensive project aimed at evaluating our operations, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing targeted solutions. Project Objectives: Mapping Operational Processes: Utilize Business Process Model Notation (BPMN) to visually map out our current operational processes. Evaluate each step and the resources it consumes to identify areas of inefficiency. Identifying Bottlenecks: Analyze the mapped processes to pinpoint bottlenecks and areas where delays or inefficiencies occur. Researching Solutions: Conduct thorough research to identify potential solutions to the unique problems identified during the mapping process. Explore best practices and innovative approaches to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Proposal Development: Develop a comprehensive proposal outlining recommendations for improvements based on the identified issues. Include an implementation plan detailing how each solution will be incorporated into our operational processes. Implementing Solutions: Execute the proposed improvements in a phased approach, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate smooth implementation and adoption of the proposed changes. Creating Revised BPMN Model: Develop a second BPMN model of our operational processes, incorporating the proposed solutions. Ensure that the revised model reflects the optimized and streamlined nature of the updated processes. Expected Outcomes: Increased efficiency and productivity in product development and operational activities. Reduced costs associated with time-consuming or redundant processes. Enhanced adaptability to customer feedback, allowing for quicker iterations and improvements. Improved overall performance and competitiveness in the market. By embarking on this initiative, we aim to elevate Vultra Visions to new heights of operational excellence, positioning us as a leader in our industry and driving sustainable growth and success for years to come.
Business Strategy Development
Our team has noticed that our product development and operational processes are not as efficient as they have the potential to be. We want to simplify these processes to make them more “lean” in order to make them less costly and more adaptable to customer feedback at a fast pace. In this project, students will focus on evaluating our operations and identifying internal issues that are causing processes to be too timely or costly. Mapping out operational processes using Business Process Model Notation and notation (BPMN), and evaluating each step and the resources it consumes. Identifying bottlenecks in our operational processes. Researching solutions to each unique problem identified in the mapping process. Creating a proposal with recommendations for improvements and an implementation plan for how we would incorporate the solutions. Creating a second BPMN model of operational processes with the proposed solution(s).
