Are you a company looking to gain more insights related to the behavioural aspects of your business?

Lethbridge College is proud to present teams of students that would be eager to advise and provide feedback regarding any and all aspects of Organizational Behaviour (OB).

Working in teams of 4-5, our students will act as OB specialists and study your business to identify key areas for improvement. They will draw on OB theory and knowledge to identify and discuss OB issues relevant to your company. You can choose to outline more than one area of focus which leads to practical recommendations aimed at solving your business needs.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

The exact scope of the project will depend on your company's individual needs.

Students will deliver the following:

  1. Multi-page report: Students will submit a full report, including analysis and recommendations, based on the application of theoretical OB concepts.
  2. Professional presentation via video-chat: students will present their findings in a high-level executive-style presentation to your company.

Project Examples

Building on their OB theory and knowledge, each team will clearly and thoroughly analyze the issues and develop recommendations for your company, based on the issues you have presented. Students will develop their assessment based on the following criteria:

  • what is happening in your business (overall assessment)
  • what are the main issues identified for resolution (choose 2/3 major issues)
  • what OB theories/knowledge most clearly identify the issues (alternative solutions to the problems & criteria ranking)
  • practical recommendations to solve the issues, based on research and OB knowledge

Students will be able to work on one or more of the following aspects of OB:

  • Manage a significant organizational change or restructuring
  • Reduce employee turnover or absenteeism or increase workplace safety
  • Integrate cultures in a merger or acquisition
  • Develop an environmental sustainability plan
  • Redesign an internal system or process including hiring, socialization, compensation, motivation, team management, learning, and training
  • Develop a plan to increase diversity and its' positive effects on your organization
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Company must provide individual feedback to students

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
