- What is the main goal for this project?

Quantum International Services Ltd. (QIS) is developing an innovative AI-based In-flight Entertainment (IFE) system that will revolutionize air travel by offering a personalized and unique entertainment experience for passengers while assisting airlines with key operational functions. We are looking for a team of 8 experienced students to write a detailed software requirements proposal for this system. The project will focus on defining the technical requirements for AI, ML, backend and frontend development, platform architecture, and creating a custom OS specifically designed for our IFE solution.
This project will serve as the foundation for transitioning the system into TRL4, which will be an important phase in the next steps. Upon completion of TRL3, QIS will proceed to TRL4, where a specialized team of experts will begin the development of the custom OS and the integration of unique apps.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Scope of Work:
- Define software requirements for AI and ML integration, ensuring personalized content recommendations.
- Backend and frontend development requirements, including database structures, user interfaces, and streaming protocols.
- Platform architecture, with a focus on quantum computing, cloud-based platform, scalability, and security.
- OS requirements for creating a seamless and unique user experience.
- Technology stack recommendations, including programming languages, tools, and frameworks.
Required Expertise:
- AI/ML Engineering: Understanding of AI algorithms, machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP).
- Backend Development: Expertise in cloud infrastructure, server-side programming, and data management.
- Frontend Development: Proficiency in building responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
- System Architecture: Knowledge of designing scalable and secure software architectures.
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Experience in planning, defining, and managing software projects from inception to delivery.
- Cybersecurity: Familiarity with ensuring security protocols for passenger data and content management.
Desired Experience Level:
- Upper-level undergraduate or graduate students with strong backgrounds in computer science, software engineering, AI, or related fields.
- Prior experience in AI/ML, software development, or working on large-scale projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving and research skills.
