Promotion of Canadian Social Enterprise Directory
Positions available: 3 ‘Social enterprise’, for the purpose of this project: is a Canadian business; is created with a primary aim of achieving an environmental, social, and/or cultural impact; and is operated by a community-based organization. The BC Centre for Social Enterprise has recently launched the Canadian Social Enterprise Directory . Users will be able to search the directory by location, social cause, and offering: 1. as a shopper, to find goods + services being offered by social enterprises e.g. someone wants to buy baked goods from a Calgary bakery that is also hiring folks with employment challenges; and/or 2. as a social enterprise, to network with others in their field e.g. a bakery social enterprise in Toronto hopes to connect with another social enterprise bakery in Canada to chat about a specific challenge or to trade best practices, key suppliers, etc. We seek folks to promote the Directory to Canadian social enterprises so that they can add their own listing.

Positions available: 10 We are looking for great candidates, outgoing, not afraid to talk on the phone/zoom or in person, love social media and love technology. We need to increase our sales team. The project may include, but is not limited to: Engaging with new and existing clients Networking online & in person Creating a simple tracking framework, including metrics, for measuring outreach success. The final project deliverable is a report including research, analysis, and recommendations. It should assist our sales team in successfully prospecting within our target market with actionable recommendations that will increase sales conversions.
Social Media Marketer for a Protein Bar Company (Zentein Nutrition)
Zentein Nutrition sells DELICIOUS protein bars. (Just search us up on Google or Amazon to read our reviews). Our sales strategy is primarily e-commerce to date, due to the fact that we launched right with the first wave of COVID-19. Because of all the store closures, we decided to shift strategies from a traditional food company and go fully e-commerce instead. In order to establish an online presence, one effective way is to social media, influencers, user generated content, and posts to garner attention, communicate with consumers, and maintain a positive brand image that encourages sharing, referrals, and posts. The main goal of this project is to create amazing social media content that can attract, inform, entertain, and convert audiences across Instagram, Tiktok, and more.
Digital Marketing and Graphic Design/Videography - Payment by funder C$1,500.00
We are new-concept health and wellness start-up clinic. We will be opening up in the beginning of next year, and need to develop a set of marketing campaigns, but it has been challenging to implement them being a start-up clinic. We would like to collaborate with students to create a launch strategy in promoting our company. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services. Research and strategizing content in the form of social media posts, emails, brochures, etc. Creating marketing campaigns for launch and follow up campaigns throughout the year Recommending and creating content according to a recommended social media calendar to increase brand awareness, and website traffic. Overseeing our channels and keeping them up-to-date. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending search engine optimization (SEO) strategies so our materials are easily accessible.
Teaching and Research Project 23-24
During this project, students will researching various teaching techniques that can be used for asynchronous and synchronous learning. The first part of the project will be researching effective ways to help students in K-12 as well as post-secondary students. The second part of the project will be implementing the various techniques in an online setting and determining which method is the most effective ways of teaching difficult concepts online. Main Goal: Research THREE synchronous and asynchronous teaching techniques to teach K-12 students. The candidates will be working closely with our teaching team and will learn new transferable and soft skills that will help them with teaching and tutoring K-12 students. The candidates will hone and improve these skills over the 80 hours. Final deliverables should include A report including all research, survey data, and analysis A slide deck to be presented to the project manager explaining the report including all choices made regarding teaching techniques
Public Health Nutrition writers for social media posts.
Nutrition Opportunities Worldwide is a group of nutrition consultants based out of the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto. The main goal of this project working for us is to write short succinct summaries of Public Health Nutrition Papers, UN reports on nutrition and food security, attend some webinars on nutrition and summarize the content of these for posting on social media platforms. The goal is to increase the following to the Nutrition Opportunities Worldwide LinkedIn platform and help develop other social media platforms and revamp the organizations webpage. We are looking for students enrolled in nutrition/public health/international development or dietetics who are knowledgeable and interested in doing technical writing about nutrition and food security related subjects. By posting regularly we have managed to increase our LinkedIn following from 1000 in January to almost 10,000 followers. Most of our followers are based in lower-middle income countries and are nutrition and or development professionals who appreciate the well curated, credible, nutrition information we are sharing with them. We aim to get to 12,000 followers by the end of the student contract.
Food safety documentation project
Food Safety Documentation Project The purpose of this project is to assist with helping a small business owner research and gather information on food safety as it relates to food production on a specific type of product. The end purpose will be to help create content for a food safety focused website. We are looking for students in Food Science/Food safety, who have some knowledge of microbiology and quality assurance methods as would have typically been obtained through a co-op placement. Preference will be given to students of food science.
