Calling all employers looking to support and mentor the future generation in the Advertising and Marketing field in Winter 2025. Our Sheridan College, Pilon School of Business 3rd year Advertising/Marketing Communication Management Program are required to complete a minimum of 250 hours of field experience in an approved Advertising and marketing Communications workplace during the timeframe of Jan - mid April 2025. Please note that we are seeking employer projects that can provide students with daily work tasks over the 12 week course period . Essential Employability Skills: Communication Skills - Communicate clearly, concisely and correctly in the written, spoken, visual form that fulfills the purpose and meets the needs of the audience. Personal Skills - Take responsibility for one's own actions, decisions, and consequences. Personal Skills - Manage the use of time and other resources to complete projects. Numeracy - Execute mathematical operations accurately. Interpersonal Skills - Interact with others in groups or teams in ways that contribute to effective working relationships and the achievement of goals. Interpersonal Skills - Show respect for the diverse opinions, values, belief systems, and contributions of others. Information Management - Locate, select, organize and document information using appropriate technology and information systems. Information Management Skills - Analyze, evaluate, and apply relevant information from a variety of sources. Critical Thinking & Problem Solving - Apply a systematic approach to solve problems. Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Skills - Use a variety of thinking skills to anticipate and solve problems. Communication Skills - Respond to written, spoken, or visual messages in a manner that ensures effective communication. All streams under this industry are welcomed and are not exclusive to : Media, Agency, Marketing, Social, Advertising Sales, PR, Creative, Research. Note: Employers are required to sign documents binding the field placement along with a Student Employer Evaluation.
