Hello there! My name is Abigail Essiflie-Dughan, I am a second-year student at the University of Saskatchewan planning to get a degree in Applied Computing for Interactive Systems Design. I developed an interest in computer science when I took computer science classes in high school and I especially loved developing user interfaces. I hope for a future career that involves developing or optimizing user interfaces in apps, websites or games.
As for work experience, my first job was delivering newspapers in 2021 from April to October. I left this job because I got a position as a Crew Member that summer at McDonald's. I worked at McDonald's for a little over a year from July 2021 to September 2022. I left McDonald's to focus on my senior year of high school since I was taking 2 AP classes(AP English and literature and AP biology) as well as doing extracurriculars in school.
Since then I have done one project through Riipen with the company PickEcoRefills during the fall of 2023. Through this project, I gained experience with Shopify, SEO optimization, and website development. Currently, I am working as a cashier at an Independent grocery store.
I am eager to gain more experience in areas related to my field of interest - I am a hard worker and can't wait to begin!

Paper Deliverer
StarPhoenix
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
April 2021 - October 2021
I delivered the newspapers in my neighbourhood each week. I had to ensure the papers were delivered on time and be friendly with the people I encountered.
