Nikâwiy Productions, a burgeoning Film and Media Production Company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is dedicated to preserving and showcasing Indigenous culture and language. Founded by Ithiniw Artist and Filmmaker, Fawnda Neckoway, the company is in an exciting phase of growth. To further their mission, Nikâwiy Productions seeks to collaborate with students to create a Virtual Reality (VR) Video Game aimed at educating players in the Ithiniw language. This project will allow learners to apply their classroom knowledge in game design, VR development, and cultural studies to create an engaging and educational experience. The game will feature interactive storytelling, immersive environments, and language learning modules that highlight the beauty and richness of the Ithiniw culture.
