Virtual Internship Opportunity: Marketing
Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for 3 marketing students or teams. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Public Relations - Develop and implement a PR strategy; create collateral, including press releases, user testimonials, case studies, and customer stories. We would like students to complete research at both the local and national levels in order to place articles and content to raise awareness for the business. Marketing Communications - Recommend changes to advertising and PR materials; create an integrated marketing campaign. We would like the student(s) to help us improve our brand's presence and capture greater market share. Strategic Social Media Marketing - Conduct an audit of our current social media presence and/or other current communication channel(s); develop and implement strategies for improving our online presence and increasing engagement; create a content calendar; creating useable social media and blog posts. Market Research - Investigate our competitive landscape, especially competitor social media presences; perform market segmentation to identify the ideal target market for (new or existing product or service); conduct customer surveys or focus groups to gain insights into the perceptions and behaviours of our target customers; develop a pricing strategy; identify expansion opportunities; identify key messaging for (new product or service). Prospecting Strategy - Evaluate our current customer base and make recommendations for further market penetration; assess our current outreach process and develop and implement targeted prospecting; review our prospect messaging, make improvement recommendations, and create new outreach content. Other duties the student may complete could include : Assist with outbound email marketing campaigns as needed; measure and report on performance of these campaigns using tools such as Klaviyo, Google Sheets, Excel Content development, including social posts, blog posts, LinkedIn articles, and website copy. SEO and Social Media Strategy
Number of positions available: 1 Social Media Marketing wizard working individually, 1 team of 5 persons working on SEO Our team is looking for a social media marketing wizard who can help us drive more traffic and improve our SEO positioning. The primary project requirements include: Keyword analysis to determine relevant search terms to our organization A strategy document to outline: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) requirements to ensure our organization appears on the first page of Google for relevant keywords Social media requirements to increase the number of followers/likes and share Content Calendar Execution: Timely deployment of all our social media content to drive maximum traffic to our site Creating engaging content for prominent media websites Working with tools and programs such as Hootsuite, Co-schedule, Canva, Wordpress, all the social media platforms Weβre excited to work with students who can help us not only brainstorm, but also execute a strategy to achieve: Our objective is to grow double social media channels and double engagement across all our channels by the end of 2021. Ultimately, our goal is to increase membership for Alpha Woman as well as to increase traffic to the website. Positions available: 5 We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. Our team is looking for someone who can help us drive more traffic and get on more platforms, forums, directories, etc. The primary project requirements involve a list of activities focusing on our first 5 topics on our site To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Write blog articles, email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics Assist with a social media video launch to promote our organization Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector Identify media outlets that are most beneficial to share our story Objectives/Goals: Join Facebook Forums and mention the site Join Reddit Forums and mention the site Join Mental Health Chat Rooms/Support Group Forums and mention the site Tweet and Post on Instagram once per week focusing on one of these 5 topics Contact newspapers and TV stations and tell them what we're doing Help Find and Apply for Grants Help Find and Apply to Get on Directories Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools. Using the Zone Learning Incubator program at TMU, I launched my self-harm safety kit initiative. I created harm reduction kits for youth who struggle with self-harm using local funding. In 2023, 120+ kits were given to youth in the GTA.
