Marketing Communications Plan + Graphic Design (Launch)

Our organization has a virtual project opportunity for 1 marketing student to support the development of a marketing communications plan for the launch of a new membership category and to develop some preliminary marketing collateral to support this launch. All work will be completed virtually. Background: HPCO is an association whose members are hospice organizations and palliative care providers (nurses, physicians, social workers and others) working in a variety of settings (hospital, long-term care, home care etc). We have developed a new "student associate" membership category and need help launching this new category. We anticipate that we will promote the "student associate" category to students directly and through their academic institutions. Relevant academic programs that we would promote the "student associate" category to include: nursing, social work, medicine, spiritual care etc. Deliverables: A marketing communications plan for the launch Preliminary marketing collateral (for a variety of media) to promote the program (the required collateral will be determined as part of the communications plan) Skills and Experience: Knowledge of marketing communications principles and practices Knowledge of the process to launch a new product or service Knowledge of search engine marketing, social media promotion and marketing analytics principles Basic graphic design Access to graphic design applications Experience using a style guide Interest in hospice or health care Primary contact : Christine Gordon, Director, Centre for Excellence Please apply with a resume, cover letter and portfolio of your work

Update Style Guide

Our organization has a virtual project opportunity for 1 marketing, communications or graphic design student to support the update and expansion of our Style Guide. All work will be completed virtually. Background: HPCO is an association whose members are hospice organizations and palliative care providers (nurses, physicians, social workers and others) working in a variety of settings (hospital, long-term care, home care etc). We communicate with our members and broader stakeholder group through various channels including: website, bi-weekly newsletter, event and product promotional materials and social media channels. As a small organization, our program staff are responsible for creating their own content and we want to provide guidelines to staff through an updated Style Guide to ensure our brand is communicated in a consistent way. Deliverables: An updated Style Guide including: Writing new sections describing the importance of brand identify, use of fonts, tone of writing, image/graphic design and selection and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) design considerations Recommended secondary colour pallette that compliments our primary brand colours Sample "dos" and "don'ts" in presenting the HPCO brand Guidance on how to select brand colours in various desktop applications such as Word and PowerPoint Skills and Experience: Experience using a style guide Basic graphic design skills Access to graphic design applications Understanding of color theory Knowledge of AODA Interest in hospice or health care Primary contact : Christine Gordon, Director, Centre for Excellence Please apply with a resume, cover letter and portfolio of your work

Graphic Design (Virtual)

Our organization has a virtual project opportunity for 1 graphic design student to support the design of a social media campaign to promote "awareness days/weeks/months" relevant to HPCO. Relevant awareness days/weeks/months may include: International Volunteer Day, National Bereavement Day, National Caregivers Day etc. Background: HPCO is an association whose members are hospice organizations and palliative care providers (nurses, physicians, social workers and others) working in a variety of settings (hospital, long-term care, home care etc). Deliverables: Working with an existing calendar of relevant "awareness" days/weeks/months, develop social media content to acknowledge these days. HPCO currently uses Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIN to communicate with various stakeholder groups according to an established algorithm.
